Despite the moon in the sky I attempted to take a picture of the "cats paw" nebula . My main reason was that I wanted to try my new guide camera, a starshoot autoguider pro which proved to be so much better than the regular starshoot. The pic is made up of 22X5 min exposures ( would have tried longer but for the moon) using celestron nightscape and SW 120ED . Came out better than expected, any way here it is.please comment as I value your suggestions.

Great result Philip. Don't know if it's my monitor but the background may be a bit magenta?

Hi Kevin,
Looks a bit like that at first glance but I think it's extended nebulosity as if you look at top left and bottom left you'll see some very black areas in contrast to the whole.

Hi Phillip, nice contrast and great tracking. Love the deep reds you have managed to show. I have one of these that I took last year that I haven't got around to processing yet. You have inspired me to get my but into gear and sort it out.
