Hi all
Got this last night, 4x 20 mins ISO 400, Modded 350D camera UHC-S filter, with 10 inch F5.6 scope, hand guided. Larger version here
http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/mod350d/rcw98%204x20%20mins%20iso400%20uhcs .jpg

Its not too faint, yet ive not seen many colour images of it before. Its RCW 98 I think this is one of the best guided images Ive taken, stars seem round and sharp, the Coma Corrector really works well on the scope. There was no wind and good seeing, the mount was working well, and the guiding eyepiece was at a good angle for me to sit comfortably while guiding.

Scott,

I think you ought to see what the picture looks like once run through the freeware Noiseware :

I'm just starting out myself and since discovering that piece of sofware I use it on eevry shot (every one)
worth a look I reckon
well done again

Hi Scott,

thats a very nice image. Yes I can understand that you want to be comfortable when manually correcting the tracking for that period of time. Well done.

Thanks all.
Other than RCW98, Star Atlas pro also has the alternate name of BBW29501; G49 and is 6x5 arc minutes in size. Additional description
Brightness Rating: Bright.
Appears to be distributed about a faint central star.
