Jupiter + GRS/RedJr - 11th August 2006

It's been ages since I've got a decent image of Jupiter, even longer since I've got an image of the GRS + Red Jr. Last time I imaged them, they hadn't even crossed yet.

Seeing was typically below average on Friday night. Out of 8 avi's, this is the only one worth posting. It took quite a bit of processing too, with 2 point MAP processing and noise reduction to make it worthwhile. The red channel lets the image down unfortunately.

160 frames of each channel stacked, FFT/LR deconvolution in AstraImage, curves/usm in photoshop.

looks familiar Mike ;) ... you can sure extract the detail from poor conditions. :thumbsup: If it was anything like up here by 7pm the seeing had gone to hell.
