The hinge (hidden) on the barn door mount points to the SCP.
I use a smart phone to get the required 29 deg slope on the board at right.
A 12V motor opens the hinge at the right rate.

Defintely a HiTec solution, do you carry lotsa spare parts ... ?? :lol:
Excellent DIY skills. I reckon every beginning astronomer needs to build one of these to get a better understanding of the importance and relevance of polar alignment and tracking.
