Star ceiling anyone?

Just fitted these the other day from www.glowpatch.com and thought some of your might be interested.

Great for a bedroom and compared to fibre optic panels a lot more reasonable in cost. (Less work)

Just stick em on, took about 2 hrs for 800ish stars. Really looks good.

I put them into my home theatre, but they are better suited to a bedroom as the tv drowns them out. With all light off they really do look good.

I have the ceiling painted black and I think this helps too.

I bought the medium pack for $146 and it' had plenty for a 4x3.5m room.

:D I could do with some of those on Ob ceiling, then it wouldn't matter about the clouds. :P

Focus for the scope might be a slight problem, anyone got a 1 meter extension ? :question: But guiding would be a piece of cake :thumbsup:

ah, great to see someone whos used them, I've been eyeing them off for months now and trying to decide if they are worth it. Looks like they may be :)

Yeah I was a little hesitant, but the only other option was $1500 star panels as I have no roof acess so DIY fibre optics wouldnt have been possible. Plus the room was just recently renovated so didn't want to redo the ceiling.

They look quite realistic. The different sizes really help with the effect. For $140 odd they are worth it

Bear in mind with any light entering the room they do get drowned out. So make sure the room can get dark as the maker suggests.

Aldi catalogue has something along that lines but with the whole solar system. That you hang around ceiling light. More tacky thoigh than that lamp

Dredging up an old thread but I've been seriously thinking about the 1064 XVR set of stars for my son, I'm just wondering tho if you can give a bit more info about these?

The seller talks about 'movement' a few times on the site but doesn't really explain what this is. The FAQ says the 'movement' can be seen in the example video.
In the video the 'stars' appear to twinkle but I'm sure this is not how they really behave!
Judging by the photoshopped example photo's all over the site, I wouldn't be surprised if the video has been edited for 'effect' too ;)
Are you able to give any feedback on this 'movement' thing he talks about?
