I bet that had youse thinking. :P Yes it's NGC55. Not as sharp as Fernando's, but it's my personal best to date. Only 7 million light years away, it's just around the corner.
A compilation of 261 minutes with various sub lengths, taken over 3 nights. Some manually guided, some with PHD. Mizar 68mm guidescope. Sub lengths from 2 - 5 minutes. Skywatcher Black Diamond ED100 at F9, HEQ5 pro, Pentax K-5.

Nice one, Kevin. Maybe just a little too blue?

It is rather blue. It's about the only colour I could squeeze out of it. ;) Maybe a bit too much though.

How's this? A bit less harsh on the blue.

Looks a bit more natural, Kevin. Definitely an improvement.

Thanks Rick. I find it a bit hard to tell sometimes with blurry eyes and lack of sleep lol.

It helps to sit on a new image for a day or two. Sometimes you look back at it and wonder what you were thinking :)

I was trying my hardest to get some red into the thing but it wouldn't go! lol. Maybe if I took some pics with my Nikon full spectrum cam it would help balance it out.
