This is what the sunspots looked like through standard solar film.
It was so hard to get the camera settings just right. A bit more practice and hopefully I can get the images real crisp.
After reading about Dennis's capture of the same spots, I now realise that maybe I should have taken an avi and put it through Registax.
This is just a single frame.

I'm not sure that you've captured the spots there jeanette.. the 2 sunspots are near the edge and there's only 2 of them.. your image looks like there's 3?

That isn't a full image of the sun. Just a close up of the edge.
I don't know what they could be then, but this is what they look like closer up.:shrug:

The third spot has developed of one of the spots over this last day as there where only two yesterday

ah sorry J, I was confused by the vignetting. Yep it looks like you got them. Try a lower power EP, it might be easier to get focus and not as affected by the seeing.

great work jjjnettie, looks like a few of the crew were out spotting over the last few days... they look great, must be the first crop on the way to the next solar maximum?

Just noticed on the SOHO image that they are back to Two again:thumbsup:
