I'm very pleased with how the autoguider is working out. :rofl:

Subject: M8 Lagoon Nebula
Scope: Orion 80ED with crosshairs
Camera: Canon 350D (unmodified)
Exposure: 8 x 3 Mins Guided ISO1600 Noise Reduc On
Mount: LXD-75 Guided MaxDSLR via SN-8 barlowed and Mintron 13V1C camera
Process: MaxDSLR and Photoshop.

Those diffraction spikes are pretty.

I'm no processing expert but that looks a little on the high side for contrast? A lot of "whites"... sort of washing out the colour and contrast range?? IMO

But very nice, just the same:thumbsup:

Lovely shot Bill. Sharp stars and overall tone tooks good but, I agree with Matt that it looks a bit washed and a bit noisey (but at ISO1600 that is expected). Maybe a bit of an application of Neat Image/Noiseworks and a slight reduction in curves or levels or even a gradient subtraction might work.

You've definately hit the ground with both feet running. :2thumbs:

This new version has been reprocessed from scratch with 16 bias-frames and the color adjusted so it's not so bright.

Good shot, the guider is working fine by the look of the round stars.
