Hello,
Here is a 2 pane mosaic of Messala and Geminus in a dramatic terminator setting as captured from Brisbane, 11th August 2006 23:47pm AEST (GMT+10).
C9.25, Televue x2.5 Powermate, Philips ToUcam 840K, 1/33 sec at 5fps.
Messala pane 17 frames from 1800 Wavelets 1 = 10.
Geminus pane 35 frames from 1800 Wavelets 1 = 20.
Captured in K3CCDTools and processed in Registax with only the one pass through, i.e. a single alignment point. Mosaic assembled in Autostitch.
Cheers

Boy, and you were telling me to take the night off and put my feet up  Dennis ol' man I think you'd better take the week off after that. Very nice effort mate. Fantatic details. The terracing looks great.

Thanks Paul. The image is a little softer than I would like, but I guess only a DMK or Skynyx2 will fix that. I'm not planning to go out tonight - need to do some domestic bonding to nourish my earthly relationships for a spell.
Cheers

Here's my extra process on Dennis' shots. Probably a tad overprocessed, as the image had already had wavelets applied. My usual lunar processing is only to use wavelets in a very minor way, and then use LR deconvolution.
Probably would've turned out a bit better on the original stacked image, but nevermind. Was a good experiment anyway.
Very nice image Dennis.

Hi Mike
Nice result Mike - your processing has revealed further detail than my original. You make a good point about applying any processing - my first image save is usually AFTER I have applied wavelets.
I think from now I'll save each image AS IS, then apply any additional processing before saving as a NEW separate image, just so I have the raw unprocessed original as a master. Otherwise, I'd have to punch it through Registax again.
Cheers
Dennis
