You misjudge me. I am in hospital. I have been up all night through discomfort and can assure you I am very sober. I do however ramble I accept such could be interpreted as been on the grog but sadly I do not drink. I am not used to pain killers so if blame must be found we could srrk it in that area. Nevertheless the matter I prrsent would be fact be the delivery made sobbet or drunk. So the question remains..it is a fact not a drunken illusion of that I can assure you. You have my word. regards alex

I hope you are getting better Alex. I've been on the receiving end of pain killers that can make you feel kinda interesting. I once heard about a person who started an auction using a paper clip. Every time the item he listed was sold, he used the proceeds to get something more "valuable" By the time he was done, he had bought a home, for cash. Amazing and some what disturbing at the same time.

Yes I know the paper clip story thanks for the reminder it is rather supportive. I just wanted to do something to give the nursrs someyhing back.. a memory more stuff at their xmasparty..The pain killer got me so quick in reflection I find it scarey. I had thr needle in the arm and a button to use if I needed it. Within 34 hours I fought the nurse who wanted to take it..I had not moved whilst I had it...but man I would mot like another 3 days ..but fortunately alking to a male nurse he said just sucvk it up matr..great advice and in 24 hrs my old personality was back went from victim back to winner...and thru wonderful encouragement from you wonderful people got myself moving..and what a moving experience complete with tears a real spin for me..I did not cry at my mothers funeral so it was most strange to have feelings mpre strange I could not understand what they were.
Good news may be out by weekend bad news I love this place and the people I will miss them..anothrr stange feeling. P;):mad2:hysio just now put me to the test stairs evenand he is impressed with my syrenght. He settme exercises bit I dp them already he recons I will recover well. ..and if I still use the walker thats pk but I feel I will be climbing the mast on my boat within the month..so all good. Thanks sincerely thank you all:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Some of the medical stuff can do quite odd things to you.
My father in law had quite serious heart surgery some years back and was under anesthesia for quite a long time. Apparently a side effect of the particular one they used is seeing geckos! And duly he did see them. We would be in the hospital visiting him and you would realize that he was staring past you at the wall in fascination. "Is he back again"? usually resulted in an answer of yes. He knew it was not there but he was still seeing it anyway!

Maybe it was there and you needed drugs to see it.
I am pretty crazy when normal as most here would testify. But I say the only way to remain sain is to be a little crazy. Thanks for your input I have gekos at home they are there really..mmm..They are there honest..have you seen them wag their tail like an angry cat..they do and its funny and fast they can turn on some speed.

I humbly accept a donation of a house with a garden and an observatory if you want to get rid of one. ;)
PS: I could build the observatory later though, so house+garden will do. :)

I dont know that I am in the mood to donate either house today but if you had got me three weeks ago well you may have got two. But I am well and even at my age can take care of them..still I could sell you one.. is a dark site important to you sir..further would you like to live next door to 8 hippy girls who enjoy star gazing but fight over mating rights..no you dont want that ...and no they had nothing to do with my crook back..I think that came from my ast arm wrestle at the Drake Pub where although champ on the night I seem to have come away damaged..still no more I have retired.:Di

I keep away just not worth the effort. but as mate says you have more chance of getting a girl next door than at the pub.. but after my experience with crazy lady moving in whilst in sydney i want nothing to do with anyone except the mother of my daughter ..she is wonderful and not insane unless you rate having anything to do with me as a reason to question ones sanity. She is a rock schools my daughter what a sacrifice... I am the luckiest man on the planet..I know it I believe it..simply blessed...alex;)

Don't I know it. Mid last year I walked 8km up the side of Mt Wellington without raising a sweat and a week later I could not walk 10m on the flat. Got me at work and when I turned up at the doc and said, "I have pain in chest", the world just changed. They told me I was hours away from a permanent reality check.
Subsequently got put on this innocent looking little pill that gave me techni-colour, Dolby, 3D IMAX recurrent screaming bloodbath "Freddy Kruger's a pussy type" nightmares for weeks on end. Wanted to die after a while. Then the quack gets all the results back and tell me I will live; stop taking the pill.
I had to eat 3 course meals every 3 hours or faint, panic attacks and shakes so bad it was like LSD withdrawals. 2 Months it took to clear that little poison and I think I'll take the bullet if it comes to that again.
Medications are almost as toxic as the illness sometimes.
