Just been going through some data I gathered previously and found some shots of the Moon while Saturn was behind it a couple of months back, so here we are. I've always thought Full Moon was a no-go, and it is lacking in shadow detail of course, but I still had fun making this all the same...the bonus with Full Moon is you can see all the controls on your kit without needing a torch :)

This was taken with my Canon 1100D using my C8 Edge HD mounted on an EQ6, 10 frames of 1/1000s stacked in Registax and tweaked with wavelets. This is 1/16 of the original file area.

It's very sharp and clear. Is that a mosaic Dunk?

Thanks chaps! The Canon was taking a whole gulp from the baffle tube, no such mosaic wizardry here I'm afraid... I really wouldn't know where to start

Lovely Dunk - great focus and wavelet magic. Vid cams are not the only Lunar way to go!

Thanks chaps! I never expected much from a full Moon but still :)

Not even sure if I'd be able to get that exposure time on my planetary cam, can't say I've tried it yet, but certainly not the FOV.
