How am I supposed to shoot galaxies with this thing in the sky?

First time I've taken the Moon with my new camera. 4 x 1/80th sec at ISO80, ED100 at F9, Pentax K-5.

ooh, nice. How did you combine the 4 images Kevin?

You should have a go at imaging it through your H-alpha filter, I've seen a few other people's H-a moon shots and they look pretty cool.

Combined in photoshop Cam.

I've tried a Ha filter... but not so good on my unmodified cameras. They go a bit noisy. I get better luck with something lighter like a yellow filter, which I actually forgot to use this time.
