This is my first astro image post, please be gentle with me!
I used the 80ED on an undriven eq mount, cannon 300 at iso 400 and 1/125 sec.
Thanks for looking:thumbsup:
Any comments welcome.........

That is a very nice Lunar image Tony, especially for a first attempt.

Cheers

Hi Tony, I reckon it's a great shot by any standards, the contrast really brings out the ejecta of the various larger craters and the maria look like the dark seas they're meant to be. DId you use any filtration at all - I have the Zeinithstar 80 and it benefits visually on the moon from a violet cutoff filter.

cheers,

That's a great shot Tony. Don't compare it to Webcam mosaics. Look at inline with other images taken the same way and I think you will be surprised. For a 300D and an 80ED image, that is ripper.

As Robert says you have good contrast though the sharpening might have been pushed just a bit too far, but not by much.

No Robert, i didn't use any filters, just the scope and the camera ( to be honest i forgot to cover the eyepiece of the camera with that rubber thing they give you:ashamed: )
Minimal PS manipulation as well Paul, as i don't know me arse from me elbow yet  Any hits will be very welcome..........
Thanks for the kind replies guys:D
