Another fairly quick attempt, this time at M83.
18 x 5min subs with darks and bias with a Canon 1000D on an ED80.
Stacked in DSS and lightly processed in Gimp.
I definitely should invest in PI or something else.

Nice job Kev, but the image illustrates the reason I have an 8" Newt.
I'm happy to crop out the coma, and get slightly less pinpoint stars, in
exchange for much more data in much less time, and a larger image;
sort of half way house between your scope and an SCT.

Yep I know what you're saying Raymo, bigger is often better. When I brought home the ED80 my wife "What? Is that it?"
I'm hoping one day she'll approve an RC10.
