Nice colours , interesting subjects
So which of these are edible , like I said the other day on our walk , most Aussie's only get there mushies from the supermarket in fear of going on a head trip or worse !

nice trevor i see what you are on about now............. trevor did you have a very small tripod or is it all hand held, as what you were telling me about the "touchy" depth of field i would imagine hand held would be difficult?

Dave the yellow one is Boletus Granulatis and edible. Most of the others I haven't checked for their edibility.
Thx Astro_bot.
Pat, hand held can be impossible up close. If ur shooting for dof your aperture can be higher than f10 with shutter speeds well below 1/20sec. I'll use a tripod if the fungi is off the ground like that one on a tree. For ground shots l use a bag of rice. It keeps the camera off the ground away from dirt and moisture and you can position it for compositional purposes Then use a cable release or use the 2 sec self timer setting so if the shutter speed is below about 1/60 the camera is not being touched.
I have emptied a 500g bag of rice [brown: cos that's how I roll :-) ] into a larger ziplock bag and put that into anothe ziplock for security. That way the bag can act like a mat for the camera or be rolled to bunch the rice and get the camera off the ground 3-5cm.
Be aware of light reflecting of the bag into the lens if the front element isn't over hanging the edge of the bag.
