John Bambury (ausastronomer) is a local amateur from the Central Coast, close to where I live.
I met John on Friday night at the SPSP, along with a few other locals (hector (andrew), Gary and Mai from ArgoNavis), Lena Moore, etc).
It was great to meet you John, and i'm looking forward to tagging along when you guys next observe up near Bucketty.. great to hear about all the local observing sites too.. the mangrove mountain soccer fields where Rod and I usually go are pretty good, but it'd be nice to have some alternatives where we don't run the risk of a night soccer game ruining our fun! :)
