Comet 2013 A1 (Siding Spring) is an early morning object at present low in the SE before dawn. It will continue to brighten as it heads into southern skies. Presently about magnitude 11 something. It will have a close encounter with Mars on October 19. Peak magnitude is in September and likely to be in the sevens, just below naked eye.

Comet 117P/Helin-Roman-Alu 1, a faint comet in Capricorn, is about as bright as it gets at about magnitude 15. Shown near a magnitude 14.6 galaxy.

ED100 at F9, Pentax K-x.

Thanks Richard. 117P is itching to be imaged with a big light bucket. Would look quite nice then.
