Too foggy for the scope
Midnight cold and very foggy. Just liked the way the moon was positioned above the water.

Lovely image Carl.
If I may make an observation though: it is hard to appreciate the image as a whole with it being uploaded so big. Having to scroll around to see it all lessons the impact of the image for me. It's a bit like going to an art gallery and putting your face a few inches away from a large painting. And by crunching such a large file down to size to meet the IIS file upload requirements it has introduced a few artifacts. I always prefer to resize the image for web display to about 900px on the longest side for landscape orientated shots and about 720px longest side for portrait. For panoramas I might go up to 1024 or 1200px on the longest side but that is about it.
I did notice an interesting thing viewing your image large though and that is that the stars at the top of the frame appear to have trailed a different angle to the stars in the rest of the image. I'm guessing it is due to a stitching error or warping during the stitching process? or it could just be more artifacts introduced by the file crunching.

There's a little bit of Turner in this image.
Well done.

Thanks guys
Thanks for the heads up about size, too many late nights watching the World cup. Yeah had some issues finding control points, gave up in the end and went for best possible option

10/10 Carl that is a stunning photograph I love it!!! This is precisely what I enjoy so much about nightscaping i.e. conditions don't need to be perfect to be outdoors and take great photographs.
