Nikon/Sigma/Canon adapter question

Sorry, but I'm an absolute novice when it comes to cameras, or anything else for that matter! :D
I've managed to lay my hands on a Sigma 18-125mm 1:3.5 - 5.6 D lens for my Canon 450D.
The lens was previously used on a Nikon D40X.
Which adapter do I need to get in order to use this lens?

Just look on eBay, for Nikon to Canon adapters. There are lots but you will only end up with a manual lens as the electronic contacts don't match.
