FOR SALE - QUANTUM MAKSUTOV CASSEGRAIN 8 INCH - VERY RARE
This unit is from my private collection and nothing to do with my business, Astronomy Alive.
Culling the collection, some wonderful opportunities for you all
This unit is rare, ultra ultra rare
There were 8 units made, and not all survive in capable condition
This was the split off between Questar and Quantum in 1982, with Quantum making 4, 6 and 8 inch Mak's
This was their premier telescope, the Quantum Mak 8
This unit works perfectly, and is a magnificent opportunity for someone to own what IMHO is one of the very rarest telescopes in the world
Excellent performance and sublime optics
Price $ 8,000, a bargain
Plus shipment at cost (nationally or international for overseas enquirers)
Thanks for looking
Enquiries via PM only please.
UPDATE: No interest, what the :( This telescope is everything this ad states it is and much much more, you are missing out here guys, big time. I will sell it overseas where something of this capability and exotica rarity is appreciated. It seems that no one is interested in keeping it in Oz, c'est la vie :(
