dumb question about baader filters

I know this maybe a bit dumb but I wanted to check-
I just put my Baader filters in my SBIG filter wheel and I wanted to check if there was a right way round and a wrong way round- I mean it says on the PDF that they are fully multi coated so does this imply that they can go in either way?
I couldn't tell from looking if there was a right face or a wrong face.

"Orientation does not matter, Gen 1 filters had a "^" marked on the edge. Gen 2 LRGB, photometric filters and narrowband filters do not. This is a recognition that orientation does not matter in terms of spectral performance...... However, for the sake of consistency during troubleshooting, you may consider mounting all filter one way or the other regarding the most reflective side."

I would assume this to be the case with Baader as well, for the same reasons as given in the article.

I did come across a site which mentioned that the > symbol needs to point to the scope side for baader filters.

Cheers guys- I think I put them in consistently but once I get up and running -if I get inconsistencies I will recheck the positions.

With Baaders you'll need to allow for different imaging lengths for the different colours. Have a look at the Astrodon website as he mentions what some imagers worked out as the ratios for the various colours. Its not 1:1:1.

That's right. I did a G2v test and came up with values between 0.8 and 1.2. Written them down somewhere!!
But I presume that's different from the differing focal length which is easy to test with a baht mask.

As for the band-pass..... aye carumba.... RGB AstroDon's, apart from the price tag, really don't do any better (Helmholtz figured this out long ago....), you are simply swapping saturation for an easy exposure time...

Baaders have nice hard coatings with excellent longevity.

That said Don's NB filters are excellent too.
