My Obs uses a Boltwood cloud sensor, which is very good, but sometimes gets the reading wrong (clear/cloudy) particularly on nights with high humidity.

I've been looking at all sky cameras for a while, but for various reasons didn't like what was available, hence decided to make my own. Results on the link below...

the link is here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/AllSkyMod/Allsky.html)

P.S. You'll probably need a Quicktime plugin to view the animations

Nice work Peter! I've been thinking about converting my old ToUCam into an all-sky cam for a while now. Still have to get around to actually doing it though... :P Thanks for the inspiration!

No worries Rolf.... my old ToUcam was the first one I tried...didn't work very well, plus I could not find a driver that would work with my Win7 64 bit OS....

Hi Peter,
I couldn't resist. I gave my software a shot at it. I hope you don't mind.

No problemo. You coded it? Very cool !

Stage 2 of my little project will be to mount the camera under an acrylic optical dome and weather-proof housing.
