Pentax 125mm f6.4 / MS-5 mount / 14" SCT? on Gumtree

Just saw that on Gumtree. Probably quite rare. Might be a bargain.

The mount is massive. There is a 125mm f6.4 Pentax refractor and possible 14" SCT.

WOW, many years ago I lived in Japan and my dream was to have a Pentax MS5 and Pentax 150mm refractor. In fact the 150mm gave the sharpest view of any telescope I ever saw through though it was of a village on the other side of the valley during a typhoon. Much sharper than Taks in the day. Pentax were stunning scopes back then. I wish could afford that one.

There was a Pentax 125mm F5 that also had a reducer available that was rare that made it F3. something.

Bruce Karbal of Astromart had one for several years and it was like a 125mm Tak FSQ. Seemed like a fabulous scope with a helical focuser.

Not sure this is the same scope. Search in Astromart and you'll see photos of it.
