Hi All,

This is my first real image since purchasing the QHY10 cooled CCD. I've been into astrophotography for about 12 months now after having taken up astronomy as a hobby 18 months ago.
As I'm still relatively new to this and have so much still to learn, I welcome constructive criticism and tips and tricks along the way.

Telescope: Celestron 8" Cassegrain tube, Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 Mount, QHY5v Autoguider (PHD2)
Camera: QHY10 cooled ccd
Exposure: 16 x 5 min exposures
Processing: Deep Sky Stacker, Photoshop CS3, Astra Image 4.0

Thanks for looking

Rob

Looks pretty good to me Rob...perhaps a slight green/yellow cast but otherwise for the equipment used and considering we are only looking at a low res jpeg - it's a good looking image

Great details. As Mike said a little on the yellow/greenish side in parts. HLVG plugin can take care of that. Agree you don't see many SCT pics that sharp. Top shot.

Thanks for the great feed back. I'll definitely take a look at the HLVG plugin.

Thanks for the tip on the HLVG plugin Marc. It works a treat. Here is the same image after HLVG and a minor colour balance and saturation adjustment.

Cheers
