Sadly Bernard 'Doc' Neeson, of The Angels, passed away today following a long battle with brain cancer... As one of my personal idols, and a friend of my father's, he was a big influence on my music tastes and styles.

The following is an acoustic tribute by another friend, Rachael Laing, singing his most well-known song, an absolutely beautiful acoustic version of 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again', gives the whole song a very different feeling...

May he rest in peace

Sad indeed, RIP doc.

Saw the original Angels lineup a few years ago after they reformed, I'm glad I took the opportunity, they played as well or better than when I heard them in the late 70's.

We will never see his face again.
Memories of that anthem along with the raucous chorus of no way get...................... off will never diminish.

...I've got to stop these tears
That's falling from my eye
Go walk out in the rain
So no one sees me cry...

R.I.P. 'Doc'

Loved playing The Angles when I was a DJ back in the day - good and loud, great music to skate to.

Beautiful version from Rachel. Superb. Loved the cartoon. Farewell 'Doc'.
