I have been imaging all year with my STX16803 set at -25C.
Despite the weird weather, I think I can image at -30 or -35C.
Would this make an appreciable difference in noise? How low do you routinely go?

I think every 7 deg drop in temperature halves dark current, but i guess we are talking small amounts of noise the colder we get.
with my stl11000, i stay at -20 all year round. in winter i could go to -30 to -35, its a matter of making another set of darks. i find dithering and a bad pixel map cleans things up very cleanly.

Thanks Josh
looks like a bad pixel map is the next task - which means delving into PI again

I run my STXL at -30C and the QSI683 at -25 all year round. The STXL handles hot weather easily, but the QSI needs a drop of 5 degrees on warm nights in summer. So I generally don't image those nights.

In PI, CosmeticCorrection is easier to use than DefectMap. Harry describes it in his video on BatchPreprocessing.
