... those small bolts you find in adapters or Barlow lenses?
I almost lost the one of my Barlow lens (although I later found it) and was thinking it would be nice to have a spare one or two. Maybe Bunnings WH?

Thanks. :)

Have you taken the adaptors/Barlow to a jeweler?

Bunnings will not have them.

&, This guy fixes "All things Optical" & will surely have spare bits & pieces.

Give an astro retailer a call if you can't drop into one. They carry such bits. I was helped out by Bintel this way. It is common to lose these little screws - right royal pain in the neck when it happens.

Thanks, guys, I will have a look. Yes, I has lost one on the balcony in the middle of the night. I was afraid it had fallen off the balcony and didn't want to go down with a torch at night (somebody could have called the police because they might have thought I was a burglar!), but luckily I then found it on the balcony... Still, it made me think it is handy to have a spare one.

Would this be fine?

A little bit longer, but it shouldn't be a problem. I think the diameter is 2mm? I would rather go though, as postage would be much more expensive than the item. It is not very far from where I live.

I use Boltsnutsscrews Online (Australian company) for most of my special screw/bolt needs. They are one of the few places I found with small grub screws needed for refractor objective collimation push screws. You can order from them is small quantity, two or this , three of that, etc and they put them into sealed plastic and ship them out.

I think these are exactly the same size as the ones usually used for Barlows?

I don't want to spend too much on postage... That's the problem with other online shops. They have different weight categories and usually start at about 7 dollars, even for a single screw.

Thanks. Most of them seem to be 2mm in diameter, one is 3mm.
I have quite a few options now. :)

I was thinking of upgrading the collimation thumbscrews of my dob too very soon.

The default ones are pretty bad and can even come off while trying to collimate...
Apparently their dealer in OZ is Bintel but Bintel doesn't have them on their website? I could order them from the US of course, but as I intend to go to Sydney and visit Bintel soon I thought it would be better...
Anyway, is it difficult to change all the screws? It should be pretty straightforward I hope.
