My Second Attempt at the HorseHead Nebula. Taken at Linden with a Full Spectrum Modded Canon 1100D. EOS CLS-CCD Clip filter. Meade SC8 with a F6.3 Focal Reducer. 25 Subs at 2 Mins each.

Welcome to IIS Charles, Gotta say that is a pretty fair image of the horsey for a SC8 and Dslr, Plenty of short subs have kept the stars round and also produced a very smooth image, nice going :thumbsup:
It is a Faint target and could do with longer subs but for 25 x 2mins and F10, this is a great result :thumbsup:

Thanks for the positive comments.

You should have seen my first attempt before I modded the Camera. Even with 5 Min subs the Nebula look horrid.

I do want to do this one again with longer subs but it's getting to low in the sky now. Later in the year I will have another go.
