Well, it has finally arrived, the departure date. Only one more sleep :D
I am off to the US again! But, sadly, for only two weeks this time. I would have stayed for Stellafane, which is in July, but my daughter gets married that weekend. But that is okay, as I will be going back this time next year and will stay for Stellafane 2015 then.
I have one day in LA, where I will visit Woodland Hills Telescope, then the Griffith Observatory, again (I got kind of distracted last time ;)), and this time, I have a much better camera lens anyway (a Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L lens). Also, if I can find the time I will visit Agena Astro Products and the Californian Science Museum.
Then, on the following day, I head to Denver, where I will visit JMI Telescopes.
After a side trip into the San Juan Mountains again (I love these mountains), I will then head to Chicago and onto my final destination, Cleveland, for a very special occasion, after which I fly home.
I visited OPT last year, and although their on-line service is great, I was a little disappointed with their in-store service, so, I have decided to check out the other astro stores around LA. I am particularly interested in solar stuff at the moment.
Cheers Pete
