One for our Northern members .... Maybe:shrug:
Constellation Camelopardalis
Multiple studies predict[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelopardalis#cite_note-IMCCE-7)[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelopardalis#cite_note-maslov-8) [9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelopardalis#cite_note-ye-wiegert-9) Comet 209P/LINEAR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/209P/LINEAR) may cause a new significant annual meteor shower (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteor_shower) which would appear to radiate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiant_%28meteor_shower%29) from Camelopardalis on the night of 23/24 May starting in 2014. There may be 100 to 400 meteors per hour.[7 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelopardalis#cite_note-IMCCE-7). It would be good at 400/hr:thumbsup:

Nope.

I've looked into this one and I don't think anyone in Australia has a hope of seeing anything - we are too far south AND it is predicted to happen on the other side of the globe. A double whammy of bad.

This article sums it up pretty well (http://earthsky.org/space/comet-209p-linear-meteor-shower-storm-may-2014). I'll be keeping a keen eye out for reports on it, though.
