Thanks guys. Since I was having the day off and the funeral was at 10am up at Williamtown I thought I might squeeze in a little bit of SOL, but the early morning fog was very slow in burning off, eventually leaving me with 20 minutes of time until 9 when I had to leave. No they are not great shots, but what it represented was a beautiful clear crisp day. My Uncle was a farmer for most of his working life, later he worked on the RAAF base as a gardener. He loved everything mechanical, including seeing the construction of the RAAF base with a grader in 1939. He loved motorcycles and farm machinery, tennis, golf, cricket - anything sporting and he loved his white wines. He was one of those genuine blokes that always had a story to tell, could spin a yarn and make you laugh, and had an immense forgiving gentle nature. . He will be missed.
one thing to note he loved aircraft - couldnt fly in them as he easily got airsick but he loved they way the mechanical beast got off the ground to fly in the air. Almost as a tribute during the funeral there were 3 RAAF jets making continual flyovers for at least 15 minutes, he would have loved it
