Walking home last evening I met a woman coming the other way, photographing something with her smartphone. As she passed she point out the vista of the moon rising and commented on how beautiful it looked. Yes, I concurred, it's beautiful. She then hurried off eastward along the street saying 'I'm going to get closer!'. :lol:

All she needed to do was wait until transit at about 10:30 pm, and it would have been several thousand kilometres closer to her than when it was rising!
