my 1st attempt at the Eta Carina Nebula

Canon EOS 700D, Skywatcher ED80, Orion 0.8x FF/FR, Astronomik UHC-E, Skywatcher HEQ5 SynScan Mount, Orion Awesome Autoguider...
5 x 360sec/ISO 800, 5 x 480sec/ISO 800, 5 x 600sec/ISO 800
5 x 300sec/ISO 1600, 5 x 360sec/ISO 1600 , 5 x 420sec/ISO 1600
+ dark, flat & bias frames...
Backyard EOS, PHD, DSS & CS6...

What a corker! Great job :thumbsup:

You might like to get rid of the great cast from the UHC filter though, there isn't much green in space. Reducing the green level and a slight amount in the blue should do the tick.

Good job Ian, I like Jo's reprocess too.

Looks to me like you have also captured NGC3324 in the bottom right of your photo too.

thanks Wayne... I agree with you re Jo's reprocess... I'll try to replicate it on my .tiff version when I get home... NGC3324 was an added bonus, I captured part of it on my initial test frames and decided to tweak the field of view to include it... considering the light pollution around my back yard I'm quite pleased with the results so far... I'm looking forward to taking a trip out to darker skies and having another go at it when I have the time and weather on my side...
