PixInsight has allowed me to deal with light pollution and thus gradients with its DBE module.

Data is 26x6 min for each of RGB.30x16 min in 3nm NII.

All data was processed with PI. It does a far better job than anything I have used in the past.

This is just the NII 8MB

The RGB 17MB

A blend of red and NII in the red channel in this image 12 MB

All these images are stacked at x1.5 the native camera pixel size. I have found it is a real advantage to manipulate the final stacks in 32 bit form. DBE works far better in 32b.

There is some really dim stuff that is now quite clear with little noise.

There is very little OIII or H beta visible/recordable in these nebulae as the dust they are immersed in scatters all the shorter wavelengths.

Astrograph is an Officina Stellare RH200 which has a focal length of 600mm and is F3. Clear aperture is 200mm.
FLI Atlas Focuser.
FLI ten position filter wheel CFW-3-10 with 50mm square filters.
Astrodon E series LRGB and HA, NII, SII and OIII 3nm NB filters. Also a continuum filter 5nm.
Camera is a FLI PL16803 which has a sensor size 36.8 X 36.8 mm.
The FoV of this system is 3.5 X 3.5 degrees.
Mount is a Software Bisque PMX.

Awesome image Bert. I found I could zoom in and explore the region and zoom out again. It sure gives a deep look into the cat's paw and lobster.

Excellent rendition of the area, well done.

Don't know how I missed seeing this. It's a very nice image.
Interesting doing blink comparisons and seeing how much extra detail the NII brings to the picture
