Hi All. I am not very good with computers cannot get ISIS to do a thing is there a PHD tutorial how to setup ISIS and run it, can only find a quick start for version 2 is there one for 5-4-1, I have a DIY spectrograph on my Meade RCX10" tried to do my images in visual spec but it crashes after you do 3 things in my windows 8 whish I still had XP

I don't use ISIS very much, as I find it is "tuned" primarily for the Shelyak instruments...(I have asked Christian to make it more "general" and suitable for first time users of "non Shelyak" instruments - he said no.)
If you're using any other spectroscope...the only way I see of using it is to determine the dispersion of your instrument and then enter this value in the "General" tab.
You could try John's "BASS project" which runs well under win8 and does all the processing you need.

This is the software I currently use for my Nova Cen ARAS submissions.

Thanks, BASS locks very good just what I wanted and lots info to, will give it a go and let you know how I get on.
