Last year, before I travelled to the US, I asked members on this forum about ways to back up images whilst travelling. Although I got some good feedback, non of the suggestions suited my requirements.
But, I saw this today, and despite it being a bit costly, it is a neat solution, so I thought I would post it here:

This is a great idea, particularly considering you don't need to have a computer handy.

That sort of thing was popular about 6-10 years ago, now you rarely see these devices mentioned in photography forums and blogs. Buy more large cards and backup to a laptop and external USB drive seems to be a more common method these days. I use an ultrabook and a 2.5" external USB drive for a second copy when I'm on the road.

Hi Peter,
I agree Peter, however, that isn't a great solution when travelling, as I don't take my computer with me, mostly for security reasons. Having a stand alone back up solution, that doesn't require a computer or other digital device, is much better when travelling, in my opinion.
I travel with four 32Gb cards anyway, and I shoot both RAW, Jpeg and movies, so these cards fill quickly. Besides, you can never have too much storage or enough back ups. :)
Just buying more cards isn't, necessarily, a solution, as I have a number of obsolete cards in my draw, as it is. The size of cards keeps changing, as in my current DSLR camera which uses SD cards, whereas, the new camera I am looking at uses Micro SD.
Cheers Pete

I got a similar one - brand Jobo - from B&H before we went to Europe last year. At 24MB per RAW even 32GB cards don't last long.

How about this

Get it from here it's a lot cheaper and you can use variety of media. I would suggest a large usb stick or a usb hdd caddy with a ssd drive inside. Note I am sure there are many similar options like this out there so you can shop around and look at reviews from users.

Note u will need a ios or android phone to initiate the copy from sd card to usb etc. so it's not fully standalone, but assume you will have a phone with you. Also if your hotel has wifi than I would also consider backing up to cloud storage if speed is fast enough to permit this.
Edit
Just found this one
http://www.verbatim.com.au/en_AU/products/accessories/mediashare_wireless/98243/media-share-wireless/features
Which I think you can get at jbhifi and local computer ships for 70-80dollars and it seems to be identical to ravpower mentioned above.
Reviews of a few variants
