Anyone out there using a game pad controller for EQMOD on a Windows 7 64bit platform. Can you please recommend your game pads make and model.

Thank you

Well for anyone wanting to know Xbox 360 wired/wireless game pad has Win 7 64bit drivers available from Microsoft site and is properly supported in Eqmod.

Wireless 360 controller, just be careful hot unplugging the reciever as you can blow a fuse. Which you then fix by solder bridging :-)

I tried the F710 from Logitech it does not have 64bit Win7/8 drivers.
You can fudge the xbox 360 drivers but i found it to be erratic with mount on occasion continuing to move even after I depressed the gamepad controls.

I think wired is best way to go and you wont use it all night, just for alignment process after that it can be unplugged.

I run a win7 64 bit and eqmod. My controller is a vintage play station 2 wired controller and I simply got a ps2 to USB connector from eBay and it worked the first time.
Basically so long as you can get the com port to recognise the controller, the computer will install a generic controller driver for it.
Then you fire up eqmod and open up game pad and configure the various buttons.
Hope that helps.

I use a Saitek P9000 I think it is. Wireless gamepad, have used a Logitec Rumblepad II which both work extremely well, I searched on Gumtree for mine and got one for $15.
