Starting to get through some of my IISAC2014 and uploading them to my site.
I liked the way the fence post lines up with the Milky Way in this one.
Canon 6D, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, ISO6400 20s exposure.

Thanks for looking. More coming soon!

Really enjoy this image Mike
Did you overexpose the sky to capture the ground and fence, and then add contrast to the sky during processing?
Cheers

Thanks guys.
Jo, the 6D is sensitive enough to capture both without overexposing :)
But I always do add contrast and saturation to the sky
Very nice view, Mike ! It seems you even managed to capture some airglow too ;)

Thanks guys. I noticed a bit of airglow in a few of my photos but nowhere near as much as last year.

Really nice composition Mike, the way the fence leads your eye to the milky way is great. The larger version shows alot better detail in the shadows.
Is it just my eye or is the horizon a little off, hard to tell with the different lines running thru the shot but to me if it was down a little on the right, but that could be the fence post messing with my mind.
I also am glad you didnt clone out the power lines, maybe if the shot didnt have other man mande features like the fence it would be worth considering.
