Hi All,
Just sharing a couple of pics I managed to get in betwen approaching and ever thickening cloud cover. Started imaging at 22:00, but a lot of the times I had to wait for clouds to pass after covering Mars for too long during the LRGB captures, a lot of times I had to start all over again, since the rotation of the dark marking obviously rotated along.
To date I managed to get 3 out of th 4 faces of Mars I wanted to get, hopefully between 6-10th May I'll be able to get the last side... Mars will be about 100 million km away by then, so hoping for good seeing after this constant rain and overcast weather.... If I don't get it soon, unfortunately it'll be too far and be a 2 year wait for it again... I guess I wont be all bad since next opposition Mars is destined to be about 40 million km closer and comparing to 2012 opposition I'm very happy with how Mars came out this year.
The seeing was average, but I still attempted to image Mars at F50... namely using the 5X TV Powermate.
Thanks for looking.
Mariusz
