While modding my OTA I took off the focuser knob (had two little screws which was easily removed using an Allan key).
I was now left with a bit of metal where the focuser knob sits on. I accidentally pushed it in a bit and discovered it can be pushed in and out.
I wanted to ask if anyone was familiar with this if I actually ruined the focus of my scope?
When I get home I can take some photos to get a visual representation.
When I tested the OTA on a tree during daylight it seemed to focus in and out alright, maybe I changed the focus point?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
