Missed out on the Lostoc party as I was away camping with the family at Norah Heads so I went emu spotting when everyone went to bed :-)
HAd a fair bit of noise on these pics not sure why..perhaps the light from the entrance. Normally I don't get this much with my Oly 4/3 and samyang fisheye lens. ISO was around a 2000 so not really high for the Oly as I have gone much higher than that…any ideas on what might be happening very welcome as I am quite new to this…hope this one cleaned up well enough to view...

Hi Win, it's a very nice shot, as you say shame about the noise. Not sure what could have caused it. How many shots did you take that night before framing and capturing this one? Could be your sensor was too hot from prior exposures. This happens to me often, and much more so in summer.

Yes thats possible Carlos as I was super excited the skies had cleared after that big storm so took quite a few! Also just wondering if there is a setting on the oly where I might have turned NR off. I believe the new OMD EM1s have an NR setting that you have to turn on and then it only works on dark frame. Not that I have any idea what that all means. Im either case I only have the oly epl5 so I dont know it it even has this setting. Still exploring all the functionality :-)
