There's fun to be had with galaxies in Virgo. NGC5746 is a mag 10.6 galaxy and the smaller NGC5740 at mag 11.9. The bright star at the bottom is 109 Virgo at mag 3.7. Due to my silly indoor observatory I had to shoot these at low elevation to get them.
This is a crop of the full frame, which has a fair bit of coma. If I'm lucky the postman should deliver a nice new Baader MKIII coma corrector tomorrow. :)
6 inch F5 Newtonian, 71 x 30 second subs at ISO 3200, Pentax K-x on an HEQ5 Pro unguided.

Not bad all the same, especially for unguided. Wel done.

Thanks Brent. The new coma corrector is installed. Now the fun begins! (clouds permitting)

When you say unguided, do you mean motorizes but without an additional auto guider?
nebulosity.

Cool stuff Kevin, have you tried of M86 way? your wider FOV would capture a nice amount of galaxies.
Yes, motorised tracking but without an auto guider adjustments.

I would have to move the scope to reach that far north. My present "observatory" is very limited. My limit is about +5 degrees at the moment unfortunately.
Yes Screech, motorised but no guiding or corrections. Although I have all the parts, I've been lazy to setup computer guiding. I do often manually guide with a guidescope and illuminated eyepiece though. I might set it up tonight.
