SPX350 F39.1, PGRFlea3, Baader RGB fiters.

Predicted breeze disappeared by 9pm so I went out and found Mars in fair seeing. My first two images were the best so I combined the 2 sets, the others were mediocre as seeing faded to avg. I had a go at Saturn in fair to avg seeing with usual results.

Mars RGB-1138-1147hrs UT
Saturn R RGB-1352hrs UT

Thanks, John.

I know I don't post much but I really enjoy your images John.

Your capture of Olympus Mons and the Tharsis volcanoes is blowing me away!

Take care,
Doug

And these are his "bad" shots ........ :P

Great shots, as usual. You're in a class of your own.

Forgive me for asking, but the "SPX350" you use, is that Orion Optics UK made? I'm kind of hoping it's "premium" grade optics, otherwise I'm beginning to fear you've managed to hack into Hubble, or something.

I agree with Astro_Bot. John is in a class of his own!

This is one of the best images this opposition!

To many this is the boring side of Mars but this image just makes my jaw drop!

Love your recent Mars work John.. very aesthetically pleasing and detailed too.
I didn't realize that 'north up' would look so good at this longitude.

Cheers
