For sale: Saxon ED80 & accessories

I'm selling the following:

Saxon ED80 refractor
AZ3 mount
42mm GSO 2" eyepiece
20mm GSO superview 1.25" eyepiece
9mm GSO plossl 1.25" eyepiece
2" mirror diagonal
50mm finder

All of the above items were bought new in Jan/Feb of this year form AOE. All items are in good order.

I haven't really thought about price. You can see the retail value by looking at AOE's website.

Saxon ED80 - $550
AZ3 - $130
Tube rings & adapter plates - $80
Skywatcher carrying case - $130
Finderscope - $100
42mm EP - $100
20mm EP - $60
9mm EP - $50
2" to 1.25" adapter - $15
TOTAL - $1,215

This kit has been used about 20 times (bought new in Jan 06 from AOE), all in my backyard in Sydney.

I'll sell the entire kit for $700 (which is approximately the price of the OTA and carrying case alone).

Just a suggestion: If it still does not sell on ebay, bring it back and try selling the items separately. Most members after an ED80 typically already have a nice collection of EPs, and might also have a different mount in mind.

It didn't sell on ebay at $700 for the lot.

I will relist it at a lower price.

If it still doesn't sell, I will sell the individual components.

That is a very good price for all that gear! I'd be very tempted to repurchase that scope if it was in Melbourne.
