Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has experience with a tracking dob used for planetary imaging? In theory, is there any reason why the results should be inferior to a scope mounted on an equatorial mount for this application ?
I currently have a Skywatcher 12 flex-dob (non-goto) fitted with Argo-navis which I am very pleased with. So I'm thinking of getting the goto upgrade kit to use it for planetary imaging. I'd then also keep the other base with argo-navis for deep-sky observing (I prefer push-to for this application).
any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.
bye for now,
Paul.
