Well, my intentions was something better, monocolor and dedicated, but they are very expensive. So, I bought a Canon T3.

It is a little different from Canon 350D, because of its RAW-CR2 format, pixel size, ISO, and some plus features.

This is my first try. The clouds gave me permission to do !

Thank you, Rowland. The live view resource is very useful. The seeing was not so good, and stars have some fringe distortion (blue at left and red at right). I didn't catch a good color of stars. They are white. I need to know more about Canon T3 to do the correct adjust of parameters.
It was surprise to me that I captured the red nebula at left bottom side of image. They came with some red information in the original RAW files.

I had some problems with my Coma corrector GSO and T3, with some reflexion. And I wasted some time to adjust the better distance, limited with the use of OAG. The sensor in Canon are very interior. I didn't get the correct position, but I believe that it can work fine.

I hope to make better images with this new camera. Unhappily I could not buy a dedicated one as ATIK or QHY mono. I already have the filter wheel with remote control, but the price of cameras are very expensive to me. It will be to later.

A color repro:

As the better channel is green, I did:

• channel red : applied minimum filter to reduce the size of the stars and increase a little the bright

• channel blue : pasted the green channel and increase a little the bright

• channel green: a little reduction of brightness

• color balance cyan < red : -5

• small sharp and noise reduction

note: the text at top shows the influence in white color
