With thousands of families about to head out on Easter holidays I was wondering if telescopes are going as well - asuming there is room, and what do you take where to enjoy what looks like good skies in the coming week?
Safe driving everyone.

Wot, so soon after full moon ?
Hmmm maybe take my Mak along to Blackheath for a look at Saturn & mars on Saturday or Sunday, hoping to miss the worst of the traffic, minor royals etc...

Well if you look at the lunar rise times, there are significant dark hours available each evening from Easter Sunday onward, especially since it is getting dark so early now. For people off camping into next week its a great opportunity.
There are at least 2.5hrs of darkness on Sunday night till moonrise at 9:35pm.
There are around close to 4hrs of darkness on Monday night till moorise at 10:38pm.
There are around 5hrs of darkness on Tuesday night till moonrise at 11:42pm.
There are around 6hrs of darkness on Wednesday night till moonrise at 12:47am.

My backyard if the weather holds up!
Funny how when the long weekend starts the weather becomes crappy tomorrow. It's just like how petrol goes up a day or 2 before .
