Weather permitting, I will be heading for Crackneck Lookout, near Bateau Bay (on the NSW Central Coast) tomorrow evening.
This proved a popular site on a previous Lunar Eclipse and should provide good views (if any views are to be had).
Hoping :hi:

Allan I could be convinced if it starts clearing up.

Crackneck is an excellent vantage point for the moonrise.
It really isn't looking promising on paper, however.
All 3 different sources I am using, are telling me that it will be overcast at best.
I hope it does clear though.

Total overcast in Sydney and starting to rain here so I suggest it's going to deteriorate along the central coast.
Sydney is once again true to form - clouded out when there's anything interesting to see.

Its a long trip for me, in peak hour traffic, and as it is raining, I see little point.
So its a no go for me.:(

Same for UWS Penrith Observatory. 100% cloud, 90% chance of rain.

I managed to get a brief look through the binoculars around 6:30 when the clouds parted up here. The eerie bit was the redish brown light thrown onto the clouds blowing around like it was fire.
