Last night at the gold coast market at Surfers beach, a guy with a few powered dobs was charging people $2 for a peep at Jupiter, the moon and Mars. Novel idea and maybe a good intro into astronomy.

Good idea. I think paying money makes people value the experience more, reduces the queues, and lets people who really want to see the sights get a good look.
