We've changed a lot of styles across the whole site, so if you see something that looks strange, out of alignment or misplaced, press ctrl-F5 to completely reload the page.

Let us know if you still have problems, but please try clearing cache if the problem persists.

Thanks

I've noticed I'm unable to delete posts.

I can edit them, but I've lost the delete option/button:shrug:

You can't delete your post if it's the first post in a new thread. Otherwise, you should be able to delete by clicking edit, and then delete from there.

Nothing has changed in that area, so it should be the same as before.

Oh. OK. Didn't know that.

You learn something new every day.

Thanks Mike and well done. I really like the update/s.

I think the upcoming events calendar (at left) is excellent:thumbsup:

Sorry it got to the situation where you had to take on sponsors, Mike.
I do have a few issues tho,
#1...The calendar (left column) cuts out 1/2 of Friday & hence ALL of Saturday.
#2...I cannot stay 'logged on' when going to a new page. T'will not 'remember me'.
#3...When either manual or wheel scrolling from the top of any page, it 'jitters'...but, when clear of the advertising section, it's smooth...
I have cleared cookies, cache etc & logged out/in, even restarted my computer...nothing works as good/smooth as before.
I am running Firefox & when switching to IE engine, it reads O.K. WHY?
Hoping it ain't just me again...:D L.

I have just been thru all the recommended procedures again & I am now 'remembered' O.K. but it's still missing 1/2 Friday etc & it's 'jittery' when scrolling from the top near the advert. Works fine with IE rendering engine in Firefox. (errrr..an extension where you can switch between the 2).
Not right in Firefox...
:D L.

I am now in the process of having to change all my font sizes in Firefox, to get it all to fit correctly. WHY? :D L.

What browser are you using, Lester?

Can you please try clearing cookies and cache, and then logging back in.

Have you recently installed any popup blockers or anything else that would stop the "manage attachments" window from opening?

Now I will need a magnifying glass for my tired old eyes to read the very small text I am forced to use.:D L.

Hi Mike,

I have been uploading programs to try and fix camera download problems. But that is fixed now. I will reboot the computer and try again. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Hi Mike,

Just tried again with no luck, couldn't get past manage attachments. We are using Internet Explorer, have no cookies and don't know what cache is. Also have not installed any popup blockers.

Hi Asi,

yes but I cannot even get to the pictures. All I do is click on the manage attachments, and I get a dong..dong type noise and the next window willnot open.

Thats a popup blocker kicking in I'd say.

Lester, goto > tools > Internet options > General TAB > Temp Internet files, click, delete cookies & files.
Next goto > tools Internet options > Security Tab > under Internet icon, click > Default. The privacy Tab should be set to medium for cookies.
For your 'pop-ups' > try, >tools, > internet options > select 'pop-up blocker > pop-up settings > both boxes should be checked, & the drop down box at bottom set to medium.
I can be corrected here...
HTH. :D L.

Rajah, that was very helpful.

Have turned off the popupblocker and did the rest. Now off to see if I can post a image of a DSO.

Many thanks.

ps Asi You were right again! But unfortunately I needed instructions on how to find the culprit. Always helping, Thanks mate.

Good to hear. Thanks for helping him, John.

Lester, you can just "allow popups" from iceinspace.com.au, and still use popup blockers for ad/spam content.

Everything works as it should for me

All functions functioning, all procedures proceeding, all links linking, 5 golden rings...

4 calling birds, 3 French Hens, 2 turtle doves . . . . . .

Laurie, all is perfect in my Firefox! Text is still the same here. Use the Control button and mouse wheel to make it bigger if it's too small.

I like the World times on the right

Ta Ken. No worries with text size as such. Just that the column widths are wrong. As I said, the 'calendar' cuts off 1/2 of Friday n hence, all of Saturday is missing, plus the 'latest & most read articles' is narrower than they should be. (150 pix wide)(main page = 745 pix) (advert column is also cut off)......
Am running at 14 point minimum text size, & allow pages/site to use fonts... :D L.
ps. Sorry for posting in the wrong thread Mike. :ashamed:

Good to hear, Laurie.

Keen eyes, Ken! You're right, birthdays aren't there yet. I plan on integrating the vbulletin calendar (and therefore, birthday events) with the new calendar on the left so that they will appear there.

The time zones feature on the right is customisable - you can display the "default" 5 timezones, or you can set it so you only show 1, or 2, or more. GMT is under the "ETC" category. In the future, we'll also be adding Local Sidereal Time (LST) as well.

Just click "Customise" and then "Add a Time Zone" each time you want to add a new row. You can drag them up and down using the arrows to change the order you want them displayed.

If anyone is having problems with the timezone stuff, please let us know but it should be fairly self explanatory.
